Lockhard Started Dogs live and train with us until ready to go to their new homes. They become part of our family and we make sure they go to live with good hunting families. Our Started Dogs are Lockhard's Gustav, Rosco, Coach, Jake, Baron, Bruiser, Zeke, Buddy, Dusty, Porter, Tomo, Little Annie, Baby Doll, and Jessie's Girl.

Lockhard's Gustav
Buster Lockhard's son and Millie's brother, Gus lives with his family in Rocklin. He has matured into a handsome and fine bird dog. His sired a 2007 litter of 12 pups, 2 of which were trained and sold as Started Dogs at Lockhard: Zeke and Bruiser. He is the future stud for Lockhard's Miss Maude, whose first litter will be in Fall of 2009.

Lockhard's Rosco
Rosco comes back often: for training, to swim in the pond, and run in the field with our dogs. He lives in Chico with Lance, an avid outdoorsman. Rosco hunts a lot, and for that we are grateful.

Lockhard's Jessie's Girl
Started Dog, Jessie lives in Colusa, CA with a loving family. We are happy that she will continue to run on acreage, hunt, and swim.
